WorldVentures is a Dallas based company founded by two experienced marketing professionals, Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue. WorldVentures’proprietary search engine technology, called PowerSearch, searches up to 200 sites at the click of a button. This meta-search technology looks for air, hotel, car, cruise and vacation sites to find the best deals. The PowerSearch technology is combined with an online community to create a convenient stop for both travel research and booking.

WorldVentures is using a word-of-mouth model to drive traffic to the site. WorldVentures has attracted over 2000 agents that are drawn to the flexibility of this product. The PowerSearch engine generates bookings through the company’s home-based travel agents and group travel desk. The company provides exclusive discount packages to its DreamTrips members. Although initially guaranteeing a minimum of twelve trips per year, WorldVentures is expected to offer at least 15 trips in the near future. The company also plans to enhance its DreamTrip scheme to offer a total of four trips per month by the end of 2007.

WorldVentures has over 19,000 active representatives and members in all fifty states of the USA. Within nine months of its launch, the company announced that it has exceeded $2.6 million in total travel sales. These figures clearly indicate that WorldVentures is an emerging leader in the leisure travel industry.
