Flyaow

Airlines of the Web was the first index of airline sites on the Internet. Established in 1994, Airlines of the Web was created by University of British Columbia associate professor Marc-David Seidel. The website is now a storehouse of airline information and a useful place to find discounted airline tickets for flights around the world. Frequent fliers are known to prefer Flyaow for its competitive rates.

Flyaow offers a comprehensive index of airline websites, aircraft photographs, airport codes, and city guides. The website claims, “if it flies and it is on the Web, you’ll find it here.” The home page features three main areas. The Airlines link provides you with access to hundreds of airlines and search for the best fares. The Cyberfares link focuses on airline tickets, car rentals, and hotel deals booked via the Internet. The Air Tips thumbnail takes you to a list of tips about getting the best value for your money. It provides long-distance telephone plan comparisons, a list of disability-friendly airlines and hotels, and other useful information.

Flyaow has been featured frequently in Forbes, Time Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle, Fodors Smart Travel Tips, PC Computing, Internet World, Airliners Magazine, and the Travel Channel. The website is frequently cited in the news as a useful resource for frequent fliers.
