CheapTickets is an online travel services company which focuses on airline tickets, hotel and condo rentals, rental cars, vacation packages, and cruises. The company was established in 1986 in Honolulu by Michael and Sandra Hartley. Over the last 20 years, the company has steadily grown into an airline ticket consolidator, acquiring seats from airlines at incredibly low rates. These rates allow the company to sell them at fares lower than the airline's published airfares.

Between 1986 and 1997, CheapTickets opened retail stores throughout the United States and Hawaii. The stores were followed up by a telesales business, where customers would call an 800-number to get great travel deals. With the increasing popularity of the Internet as a business medium, the company jumped in to tap its potential. In 1997, CheapTickets.com was formed, becoming one of the first online travel agencies to offer discounted airfares online.

CheapTickets.com began as a traditional travel agency and has transformed the way in which the tourism industry is run. . The company was acquired in 2000 by Cendant and is currently part of Travel Distribution Services Division of Travelport. Even with all these changes, CheapTickets still brings the best discounted fares and remains true to its slogan, "the less you pay, the better it feels."
