Traveling with Different Ages
Traveling with young children or elderly people can be stressful at times especially if traveling to another country. Making sure people stay with the group, that medications are given, and that people are happy during the trip can lead to stress during and even after the trip. Traveling with children should be considered carefully. Small children may not be able to sit in a seat for many hours while traveling to another country. They will need to be entertained when traveling. Bringing a book or a small game will help keep them occupied. All too often, parents let their children run through the aisle in an airplane. This is rude is other passengers and can cause disturbances along the way.
Elderly people may need special care when traveling. Because of the changes in air pressure, they may feel shortness of breath and may get headaches. Taking medication is very important and will need to be remembered when flying. Elderly people may also need to use the bathroom more often. This can be a problem on longer flights as the bathrooms may be occupied for much of the trip. Bringing along medication and other items for the trip will make an elderly person feel more comfortable. Traveling with others can be stressful, but if people bring what they need to on the plane, then they will be able to have a safe flight and will not have to worry as much about those they are traveling with. Taking young children on flights is not recommended and should be thought about carefully before doing so.
