Kampong Ayer

If you approach the rivers, you will be greeted by plenty of boat riders wishing to give you a tour of Kampong Ayer with their boat. Standard price is about 15-20 Brunei Dollars for a 45 minute tour. We started our tour just before sunset so we were able to enjoy the tour during daylight, during sunset, and during the night time. It was the best time to do this trip.

The houses in Kampong Ayer look very poor and run down -- a stark contrast with the mainland homes that exude wealth.
