However, you may find some snow at higher elevation on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. It is also rain a lot in Mount Waialeale which have the second highest average annual rainfall on earth. Local climates are different on each island. depending on the elevation. It can be divided into two zone : windward and leeward. Winward recieve much more rainfall, and leeward are generally dried.
